Who these terms are for

You are buying as a consumer. These terms, together with the description of the service shown at checkout and our Cancellation & Refund policy, form the agreement between us. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply to your purchase.

What you are buying

You are buying the specific service shown at checkout: a toolkit, a piece of personalised written support, a review of the documents you send, an answer to one question, or a consultation of the stated length.

What is not included

  • Solicitor or other legal representation
  • Representation at a SEND Tribunal or other hearing
  • Unlimited or ongoing case management
  • Automatic communication with your school or Local Authority
  • A diagnosis or clinical assessment
  • A guaranteed outcome
  • A promise that an EHCP will be issued

If you need that level of help, we would be glad to talk about full casework at Simplified Support.

What we can and cannot do

We offer practical, experienced SEND support. We do not diagnose children, and we cannot decide or guarantee that your child is entitled to an EHCP, EOTAS, Section 19 provision or any other outcome — those decisions are made by your Local Authority or, on appeal, the Tribunal. Our support is information and guidance, not legal advice or representation.

Honest evidence

Our toolkits and reviews are designed to help you organise genuine information about your own child. We will never help anyone exaggerate, invent or change evidence, and we may decline to continue if asked to.

Payment

All services are paid for in advance through Stripe. Work begins once payment is confirmed and we have the information we need. If we need something else from you, we will ask by email.

Your cancellation rights

You have a legal right to cancel most services within 14 days of purchase. Some services begin within that period at your request, which affects this right — full details are in our Cancellation & Refund policy.

Turnaround

Written services are usually returned within the timescale shown on the service page. If something is going to take longer, we will tell you.

Your responsibilities

Please give us accurate information, and only upload documents you are entitled to share. You remain responsible for any decisions you make about your child’s education.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits any legal rights you cannot agree to give up. We provide information, guidance and practical support; we do not guarantee any particular outcome from your Local Authority or the Tribunal. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any single service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

How long we keep your records

Records of completed work, payment records and any information about your child — including SEND, health and school details and documents you upload — are kept for 6 years from the date the work is completed. Ask Jess conversations are kept for 12 months after the conversation is completed, and general contact messages for 12 months. Full details, including the reason for each period, are in our data retention schedule.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse the forms, uploads or booking system. We may refuse or cancel a service where information is provided dishonestly or abusively.

If we cancel

If we ever have to cancel a service, you will be offered a new time or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please tell us — see our complaints process.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the one that applies to that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
