This policy explains how Book Simplified Support uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners.

The cookies we use

We group our cookies into three categories:

• Strictly necessary cookies — these are required for the site to function, for example remembering that you have made a cookie choice. The site cannot work properly without them.
• Analytics cookies — these let us recognise and count visitors and see how visitors move around the site, so we can improve it. We do not share information about you or your child with any analytics provider beyond what is needed to measure aggregated use of the site.
• Marketing cookies — we do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.

Cookies and similar storage on this site

• Your cookie choice — stored in your browser so we remember what you chose. Strictly necessary. Kept for up to 12 months.
• Payment and security — set by Stripe when you pay, to process the payment and prevent fraud. Strictly necessary.
• Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) — only downloaded and set after you choose “Accept”. Typically kept for up to 2 years by Google.

Consent

No analytics or marketing cookies are set before you make a choice. Until you press “Accept”, no Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager script is loaded at all, so nothing non-essential can be placed on your device. “Reject” is shown just as prominently as “Accept”, and choosing it — or simply ignoring the banner — leaves only strictly necessary cookies in place.

Changing or withdrawing your consent

You can change your cookie choices, or withdraw consent you have already given, at any time. Your new choice takes effect immediately.

Third-party cookies

Where you have given consent, we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to measure how the site is used. Google may set cookies on your device. You can read about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Your browser settings

You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will not stop the site working, but it may affect how the cookie banner behaves. See allaboutcookies.org for help with browser settings.

We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date shown at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
