Copyright and Intellectual Property

This notice applies across all Simplified Support websites, platforms, portals, services and materials, including:

Book Simplified Support™
EBSA Simplified Support™
EOTAS Simplified Support™

It also applies to associated branding, service names, pathway names, original content, resources, frameworks, questionnaires, templates, reports, digital tools and educational materials.

Ownership

Simplified Support Ltd owns or lawfully licenses the intellectual property rights in the original materials it creates and provides.

This includes, where applicable, copyright, database rights, design rights, trade mark rights and rights relating to confidential information.

Protected materials may include:

Original written content and educational materials
Questionnaires, question wording and assessment structures
Pathways, digital journeys and guided processes
The distinctive selection, arrangement and presentation of frameworks and methodologies
Templates, reports, summaries, evidence packs and planning tools
Software, source code, databases, platform architecture and digital features
Graphics, illustrations, videos, audio, branding and visual design
Training materials, workshop materials and downloadable resources
The structure, wording and presentation of personalised plans and generated documents

The legal concepts of SEND, EHCPs, EBSA and EOTAS are not owned by Simplified Support Ltd. Legislation, statutory guidance, publicly available information and third party materials remain subject to their existing ownership and legal status.

Your information

You retain ownership of the original information, documents and evidence that you upload or enter into a Simplified Support service, subject to any rights held by other people or organisations.

You give Simplified Support Ltd permission to process that information only as required to provide the service and as explained within our Terms and Privacy Notice.

Your information does not become the property of Simplified Support Ltd.

Your completed plans and reports

You may download, print and share a completed plan, report, summary or evidence document created for your own child, family or authorised case.

You may share these completed documents with people directly involved in supporting the child or young person, including schools, colleges, local authorities, health professionals, social care professionals, tutors, therapists, advocates and relevant providers.

This permission allows you to use the completed document for its intended purpose. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying template, pathway, questionnaire, framework, system, wording, design or methodology.

Permitted use

Access to a Simplified Support service gives the authorised user a limited, personal, nonexclusive and nontransferable right to use the service and its completed outputs for their intended purpose.

Where a school, professional or organisation has purchased or been granted access, use must remain within the scope of that access or licence.

No intellectual property rights are transferred to the user.

Copying and commercial reuse

Unless Simplified Support Ltd has given prior written permission, you must not:

Copy, reproduce, republish or distribute protected content
Adapt, translate or create derivative versions of protected materials
Copy or recreate questionnaires, templates, pathways, reports or digital journeys
Extract the structure, logic, sequencing or presentation of a Simplified Support service for use elsewhere
Use protected materials to create or develop a competing or substantially similar product, service, platform, resource or training programme
Sell, license, publish or commercially exploit protected materials
Share blank templates, internal resources, account access or restricted platform content
Remove copyright notices, branding, watermarks or ownership information
Present Simplified Support materials as your own work

These restrictions apply to direct copying and to copying that changes the wording, design or format while retaining a substantial or distinctive part of the original material.

Nothing in this notice restricts a use that is expressly permitted by law.

Automated extraction and artificial intelligence

Access to Simplified Support content does not give permission to collect or reuse it through automated means.

Unless expressly authorised in writing, Simplified Support content must not be:

Scraped, crawled, harvested, copied or systematically extracted
Added to a commercial database, content library or prompt library
Used to train, fine tune, test, evaluate or improve an artificial intelligence or machine learning system
Submitted to an artificial intelligence service for the purpose of recreating, reverse engineering or reproducing the content, pathway, framework, questionnaire, logic or methodology
Used to create automated outputs, products or services that compete with or imitate Simplified Support

Authorised search engine indexing is not prohibited where it operates in accordance with the permissions set by the relevant website.

Confidential platform information

Any platform logic, unpublished methodology, administrative process, technical documentation, pricing information, development material or other information identified as confidential must not be disclosed or used outside the purpose for which access was provided.

Access to confidential information does not grant permission to copy, reverse engineer or commercially exploit it.

Trade marks and brand names

The following names are used and claimed as trade marks of Simplified Support Ltd:

EOTAS Simplified Support™

The Simplified Support name, logos, product names, service names and associated brand elements must not be used in a way that suggests ownership, endorsement, partnership or affiliation without prior written permission.

The ™ symbol identifies names that Simplified Support Ltd regards and uses as trade marks. The ® symbol will only be used for a trade mark where registration has been granted and remains valid.

Third party materials

Third party names, logos, quotations, legislation, guidance, materials and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

Their inclusion does not transfer ownership to Simplified Support Ltd or to the user.

Enforcement

Unauthorised copying or use may result in suspension or withdrawal of access.

Simplified Support Ltd reserves the right to require unauthorised material to be removed and to pursue any remedies available under applicable intellectual property, contract and other relevant laws.

Suspected misuse or infringement should be reported through the contact details provided on the Simplified Support website.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when services, legal requirements or intellectual property arrangements change. The latest version will be published on the relevant Simplified Support website.
